Dr. Ptak graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She went on to pursue her veterinary degree at the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated in 2009. Dr. Ptak began her career at the Barnesville Animal Clinic in June of 2009. In July of 2013, she became the sole owner of the practice and moved the clinic to its current location.
Dr. Ptak’s professional interests include dermatology and dentistry. When she isn't at work, she stays busy with her husband, two kids, and two Brittanys, Hannah and Chip. She enjoys running with Hannah to help clear her mind, and it helps keep Hannah out of trouble. She has run 4 half marathons and plans to add to that number in the future. The family enjoys trying to help pollinators by having a pollinator garden at home, and by beekeeping.
Dr. Ziebarth attended the University of Minnesota, Morris campus and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She graduated in 2013 from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine with her veterinary degree. Dr. Ziebarth practiced for 4 years in Alexandria, Minnesota. In 2017, she began her journey as a relief Veterinarian. She works here at the Barnesville Animal Clinic, but you may also see her picking up shifts at the Red River Emergency Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Dr. Ziebarth loves spending time with her kids. She also enjoys running with her dogs, Penny and Waffles. In her free time, Dr.Ziebarth likes to spend time outdoors playing golf and paddle boarding.
Amanda began working at the Barnesville Animal Clinic through her externship in 2012. Soon after she became a permanent employee in 2013. Amanda graduated from the veterinary technician program in 2013 from the Minnesota School of Business. Amanda’s interests include dentistry, lab work, and canine large breed behavior.
Amanda lives by Pelican Rapids with her boyfriend Tanner. Amanda also has 4 pets at home. She has a Golden Retriever named Kinnley and a Goldendoodle named Tillie. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys the outdoors by hunting, fishing, and gardening. She also loves cooking and watching movies she’s never seen before.
Bethany started her technician career after graduating from NDSU Veterinary Technology Program in 2005. She began working at the Barnesville Animal Clinic in 2010. Along with her technician duties, Bethany really enjoys monitoring the inventory.
Bethany has many hobbies. She enjoys riding her horses, camping, gardening, reading, and enjoys her time on her farm. Her 2 children and husband are very active on the farm as well. They take care of several horses, 2 donkeys, cattle, and 6 cats.
Mariah graduated from the NDSU Veterinary Technology program in 2016 and became licensed in 2017. She interned and worked at Valley Animal Hospital in Thief River Falls before starting here. Mariah’s interest includes working in the lab, especially performing cytologies. She enjoys dentistry and mathematics.
Mariah currently lives in Moorhead with her husband, Lyle, and their two dogs. She has a Boston Terrier named Quincy and a mixed breed dog named Ryan. Outside of work, she loves movies, sports, and doing projects around the home.
Emily graduated from the NDSU Veterinary Technology program in 2021. She served in the Air National Guard for 7 years. Her favorite parts of the job are lab work and anal gland expressions!
Emily currently lives in West Fargo with her husband, Zach, and their pets. She has a Corgi named Frank, a red Lab named Clifford, and two tabby cats named Clover and Daisy. They also have 2 Guinea pigs! In her spare time, Emily enjoys the outdoors by camping, hunting, and crafts.
Katelyn has been around and worked with animals her whole life. She also attended a grooming school in California in 2018. Her favorite part of the job is trying to make the patients as comfortable as possible during appointments, especially puppies/kittens in their first vet appointment. She also loves learning new information about veterinary medicine from the experienced staff who work here!
Katelyn lives by Sabin with her husband, Joey and has multiple pets at home. She has 7 dogs, chickens, ducks, guineas, peacocks, and 4 goats. In her spare time, Katelyn enjoys the outdoors by kayaking, hunting, and fishing. She also enjoys crafts, home projects and spending time at home with all of her critters.
Wheels came to us as a surrender; his pelvis was fractured as well as his rear legs. We brought him to the Red River Animal Emergency Clinic for surgery and he has been doing great ever since. Wheels loves saying hi to clients, supporting his furry friends during surgery, and chewing on boxes. He even knows how to "sit" on command!
